I posted on ending a relationship when calls are deliberately ignored and some went abusive and ignorantly defensive over the post.
Some gave all manner of excuses to continue in the emotionally abusive relationship and I smiled…experience till forever, will be the best teacher!
If you have been in a relationship for at least 6 months. You should know when your partner is ignoring you or playing games on your emotions!
Intimacy is a proof of love (notice I didn’t say S*X) when someone loves you they want to communicate all the time.
Hubby calls back if I call and he wasn’t on phone at that time. He would find a way to reach out. He could use someone else’s phone or send a text if he couldn’t call. That is respect. That is love.
Courtship is an exciting stage of your life where you should always talk, chat, communicate and long to be with each other. You should excite them so much they love to talk to you. They should respect and value you so much they pick your calls or call back in case they were not available when you called.
If communication is getting cold, they are HABITUALLY ignoring you, not picking calls, calling back or responding to your chats when they are online, you should END THE RELATIONSHIP. It simply means you are no longer needed!
Get the message, save your dignity, self respect, self worth and move back! Never push yourself on a man/woman. It is called
desperation! Never be so desperate to get married you allow all forms of disrespect and emotional abuse in the name of patience and endurance! That is no longer love, it is stupidity! Never allow anyone turn you to a dummy or puppet in the name of marriage! You are a human being that should be loved, honoured, respected and valued!
Of course, there could be exceptional cases where a partner is sick, kidnapped, depressed, arrested or in deep trouble (that will never be their portion in Jesus’ name!) You know that is caused by circumstances not out of habit or desire to hurt!You should know your partner well enough to know when they are ignoring you or in trouble and needs help.
That was why I included in the post that if they are alive, hale and healthy yet ignoring your calls and wouldn’t call back, end the
relationship! Everything cant be fine yet they keep ignoring you!
My counselling sessions are filled with heartbroken and frustrated singles who didn’t pick the signals on time till their partner closed the door on them and dumped them. That c can shatter anyone’s self esteem.That will not be your experience in Jesus’ name!
